Summary

I can't believe i have to say this but just in case....THIS IS NOT A REAL GUN.

Titanfall 2 is coming out soon(ish) and i pre ordered the 'super mega deluxe give me all your money epic win' edition that comes with the 1:1 scale pilots helmet. Figured alot of people are going to use this helmet for cosplay and every pilot needs a weapon right?

So i designed the the B3 - Wrongman, which is heavily inspired by the B3 - Wingman from the game. I've always wanted to print a prop gun but my printer (m3d micro) has a print bed the size of a stamp so i made this guy in segments, some of which plug into eachother to make it easy to line them up. Everything else you just superglue. The segments also make it alot easier to paint...i imagine? i have no idea. i suck at painting.

This is the first version so if any of you have any constructive feedback i'm happy to update the model over time :) It's not a perfect replica but it will certainly do the job.

Print Settings

Printer: M3D Micro

Rafts: Yes

Supports: Yes

Resolution: Dealers Choice

Infill: None

Notes:

I printed all the parts hollow with the thick walls setting enabled in the M3D software. It's pretty light in weight when assembled. I used rafts on everything except the trigger but thats just because i forgot to.  The M3D software automatically adds supports to models that it knows it cant print without them so for your information the parts that will need supports are as follows: - Barrel 2 - Hammer Housing - Flashlight

Post-Printing

Assembly

1.Print all the parts

  1. Sand off scrap material (i have some tiny files, they work great)

  2. superglue the hell out of everything.

  3. bask in the glow of your new B3 - Wrongman

How I Designed This

What i gone and did.

There really wasn't much resource material to go by. i found a side on image on google and basically just used that as a reference. I improvised all the 3 dimensional parts and ran test prints to see how they fit together until everything just looked right.
