I really wanted to print myself a model of hat kid, but there wasn't really any 3D-printable models of her around.
Had to do quite a bit of work to get something 3D-printable, but it was worth it.
It was about 3-4 hours of work that required me to download a couple pieces of new software just to open the thing on blender. I got the model from Source filmmaker's workshop.
Thankfully i was able to save some time as the smug dance pose was included in the files, so no manual posing needed to be done.
I will probably also do a model of regular outfit hat kid at some point in the future.

Painting
I started the painting procedure by first painting the entire figure with some gold spray-paint. After that i used some pens to mark out the logo on the back of the jacket and the eyes. Then it was just a matter of slowly but surely hand-painting the rest layer by layer. I believe i started with the skin-tone, then the hair, then the purple areas, and finally all the smaller details. I got the colors on mine a bit wrong as i decided not to use in-game screenshot's as my reference, the darker purple areas should have been black, and the hair a darker brown...oh well, might fix it one day. The bow i did by just cutting and taping together some old yellow crafting paper and then sticking it on with some blue-tack. Pretty quick and dirty, but i think it turned out pretty good.
