by StubMandrel

Stubfighter is a small, nimble and powerful atmospheric/interplanetary fighter that I was inspired to design after printing and building the Mandalorian's Razor Crest for my brother (from files on Thingiverse).

If you fit motors to work the 'turbines' and LEDs in the back of the motors it looks (and sounds) great.

The photos and part names should show you enough to work out the assembly.

The seat suits 3.75" Star Wars figures but if they are not full poseable you will need to find ways to bend their knees/ankles. I cut out wedges from each joint then applied heat and superglued them in place. You could also cut away the bulkhead from the front of the cockpit floor.

Notes:

Some of the parts benefit from a brim. Print the fuselage in two halves, split at the back of the cockpit. The windscreen prints best with support for angles over 70 degrees.

Post-Printing

You need to fit a £1 140 type 22mm diameter motor in each nacelle and then fit the turbine fans before fitting the intakes. You can use transparent PLA for the inner cones and fit an LED inside. Paint the cones with a thin layer fo red paint, tehn a dusting fo black spray and they will look great. With dropper resistors for the LEDs and the motors wired through the hole in the Nacelle parts you can either fit a 5V/4.7v battery inside the fuselage or fit a connector/fly lead for external power. All the cockpit parts will fit into the assembled fuselage but it may be easier to fit them before glueing the two parts together. Glaze the windscreen and internal door using curved PET from a pop (soda) or mineral water bottle. May the Force Be With You, dudes!
