I made this to learn SolidWorks based on screen grabs from the film. The 3d is pretty neat, in practice the print needs a bunch of post, at least after my Ender 3.
This is intended to be HO scale.
The X-number in the file names indicates how many copies of each you need to make 1 car.
The side wall part needs a mirrored copy.
The front part is best printed angled with supports, to keep the thin central window divider horizontal.
Painted with acrylic paint and clear coated with matte spray.
Assembly notes:
In theory, the bogies can be screwed into the bottom and have a print in place swivel. Mine all fused and the screw didn't fit, so I ended up cutting it off and glueing it in place.
Wheels are suppose to fit onto the axels, amd spoiler alert, they don't ;)
The wheel plate piece is suppose to snap onto the bogie and hold the wheels in place, but of course of course it doesn't fit. I cut it in the middle and glued it shut.
The buffers for the front need to be either filed or edited in 3d to be a the correct angle on the front bumper.
Have fun :)
