For the DomCode software conference 2016 in Utrecht we wanted to print 3d models of the Dom tower. We couldn't find this as a 3d model so we made one ourselves.
The tower is modelled of sketches of the tower to make sure the proportions are correct.
We have successfully printed the model on 2 different M3D printers both in ABS on a heated bed and in PLA.
Printer:
M3D
Rafts:
Doesn't Matter
Supports:
No
Resolution:
medium to high
Infill:
low / medium
Notes:
Without support structure the clock may sag a bit but there is no cleanup needed.
Maybe it will print nicer with support structure but we have not tried this yet.
