Modeled after Kirito's second sword from the first arc of Sword Arts Online. I designed this one after not being satisfied with the models I found online. I'm still not fully satisfied with the decorative piece above the hilt and my revise it in the future.
This model is designed to hold a 5/16 inch dowel down the middle for structural support and uses 3mm filament for alignment. Glue required but abs solvent welding works as seen on my printed version, prime and sand if you'd like if not print it in the appropriate color. and swing it to look cool.

Pretty much safe to print however. The model has been split into 3 inch segments for to be printed in my printer, and make for a relatively short print times, I printed 4 pieces at a time about 8 hours per print.
Insert dowel down center hole and cut 2 inch segments of 3.0mm filament and push them in the side holes between segments. apply glue on connecting faces and hold them together/clamp until set. ABS solvent welding would set faster for those without clamps. Sanding priming and painting recommended.
