I created this model using Blender while following along with the tutorial linked below:
This was my first Blender creation. I highly recommend this tutorial if you're just getting started and want an easy project. I had to pause and replay the video at a couple of points to get a clear understanding of what controls to use at various points, but, in the end, I figured it out.
Two of the "gotchas" I encountered while working on this model were solved by "removing doubles" (i.e. removing accidentally doubled-up model components which kept some of the tools from working) and by "rebuilding normals" (i.e. resetting the lighting on the model if it looked like it became turned inside-out.
I recommend scaling the model up to at least 50mm in height before printing, and a few light supports will need to be added for effective printing (under the body, trunk, ears, and tail).
