Simple Modern Paint Brush Stand.
Printer Brand: MakerBot
Printer: MakerBot Replicator 1
Rafts: No
Supports: No
Resolution: 0.2
Infill: 20%
Notes:
Printed with PLA I used Simplify 3D for slicing. I did 20% on the fill for the whole project however depending on the speed you print at and the printer you are using the base and the main grid can take 3 hours to print but if sliced just right this can possibly be reduced. Notes: I printed the cubistand_rod_c.stl vertically on none heated bed with blue painters tape and a light touch of glue stick with no problems.
Steps to glue the parts.
I used RC Model glue to glue the rod to the base waited to dry for a few minutes then glued the main grid to the rod and laid the stand on it's side to let dry and finally I glued the top cap.
Keep in mind one can print 4 rods and have on on each corner. I liked to keep the modern floating look.
