This prop is designed to be printed in ABS and hooked together using acetone for a secure bond.
The prop consists of a total of 8 printed pieces (the files included represent one half of the prop, so will need to be printed mirrored for the other half) and two ~5mm diameter rods of any material you choose (I used wood because it was able to be trimmed to length easily, and was still much stronger than a 3D printed rod, so the prop can go into a holster or conventions, display, etc, without breaking).
File Directions:
01-02 Mal Rod End – the end caps that go on rods. No supports needed if printed flat. This file does not need to be mirrored, simply print 2 copies.
03-04 Mal Half Barrel – this is half of the barrel and front sight. If your printer does half-circular shaped voids well without supports, you can print without; if you’re not sure, I recommend using supports. This piece needs to be printed twice, once normally and once mirrored.
05a-06a Mal Half Main – this is the main portion of the prop. It requires minimal supports, but they are needed. This must also be printed once normally and once mirrored. This is the version of the main body I have printed and used; another version labeled 05b-06b Mal Half Main Flared Grip has a grip that has is flared out at the bottom, and is closer to the original grip that the non-flared one. I have not printed or used this file, but I include it here incase others want to.
07-08 Mal Half Rear Sight – these are the rear sights that are fixed to the back of the prop. They will need supports. One printed normally, and the other mirrored.
