I liked TimStough's remix of Mrcleanr6's Horga'hn model, but I wanted to align the layers with the 'carved' tool marks, avoid supports, and fit the model into a short & squat printer. The poly count has been further reduced, and a cavity has been added to the top, reducing the filament used and lowering the center of gravity.
I was able to generate gcode for this model in slic3r on a moderately provisioned pc with some auto-repaired errors, but without timing out.
Still working on the final details, planning more sanding to hide the layer lines, and wood putty for some of the gaps at the joint between the halves
