It's based on Toy spring. Can it be printed successfully? Sure! Coils touche only at the edge of each level so it's easy to separate them.

You have to use a slicing software which can add supports manually. I used Simplify3D. The setting is:
Don't use "Normal" support type! It will generate supports inside the spring.
After generating automatic supports, add new support structures between legs manually.
After printing, remove supports and use the back of a box cutter to separate coils.
