Acorn Finial
These adorn some of the walls and ballustrades around Portmeirion.
My intention is to paint the finished result to match the original and dot around my garden.
Notes:
Printed using repetierhost, scaled up 250% size it came out at 20.2cm tall, 90mm approx diameter (not sure why it imported so tiny but might be a units issue during cleanup in 3dbuilder)
Took just under 4 hours to print.
Side note...if you ever get the chance to visit Portmeirion Village in Wales then take it. It's a beautiful, fascinating and clever creation of a visionary. If you get the opportunity to stay overnight then even better - it's feels half a world away from everywhere and the restaurant is a treat. If you are a fan of the 60's TV show 'The Prisoner' then get a visit on your bucket list. I'm not affiliated with the place in any way - just a great admirer and occasional resident. I'm not quite sure why number 6 wanted to leave to be fair!
