I designed this budgie play house to fit in a medium size birdhouse.
I printed the main House.stl at 0.3 mm, with multiple processes (20% in-fill 0-30% height, 5% in-fill 30-70% height, 20% in-fill 70-100% height), 60mm/sec with some custom supports. I printed the 2 parts for the sliding roof at 0.2 mm, with 10% in-fill to allow for light to pass through (I used Natural PLA for the roof). The design was scaled down to 90% of original for all 3 parts to fit my Wanhao i3 Plus print bed.
I used Earl's MulTFill filler on the outside walls followed by 400 grit (wet & dry) sandpaper and acrylic paint (5 coats) to give the play house more of a painted wood feel.
If you don't have a budgie this might also work well as a night light :) ...
